IMPORTANT NOTICE: COVID-19 NOVEL CORONAVIRUS

As the global COVID-19 situation continues to evolve and spread, the Fencing Central Committee recommends that all fencers, fencing clubs and fencing events follow guidelines provided by the New Zealand Government and the Ministry of Health.

As of 21 March 2020, Fencing New Zealand has made the decision to suspend all fencing clubs, lessons, competitions, and other events with immediate effect. This suspension will remain in place until further notice. For more information, please refer to  Fencing New Zealand's official announcement.

2020 Fencing Central Affiliations

 

Please ensure that you renew your affiliation to Fencing Central for the 2020 season before 31st March 2020 to ensure that you are eligible to compete at tournaments, attend training camps, and receive a national ranking.

To renew your affiliation, please go to https://dev.fencing.org.nz and select the appropriate membership type:

Fencing Central associate

Membership for non-fencers who want to be members and support our organisation.

$30.00 per year

Competitive under 18 and tertiary student

Membership for fencers under 18 and tertiary students who want to enter competitions or go to training camps.

$65.00 per year

Competitive over 18

Membership for fencers over 18 and not enrolled in tertiary courses who want to enter competitions or go to training camps.

$85.00 per year


This contribution is essential to the success of fencing in New Zealand and the Central region, by funding the development and provision of fencing, training and competitions, the availability of equipment, and support roles such as committees and commissions, referees, coaches.

Please note that for the 2021 season, Fencing Central will be updating its affiliations to align with the other regions in New Zealand. This means that your affiliation will run from 1st January to 31st December from 2021 onward, rather than the current 1st April to 31st March.

Health & Safety Officer:

The Committee currently has a vacancy for a Health & Safety Officer. This is a new position to coordinate with the FeNZ Health & Safety Team and hold oversight for Health & Safety in the Central region.
